Northside Today’s Johnny Holmes speaks to musician PAUL BYRNE about his music from 1982 to present day.
Paul talks about what inspired him to first be a musician, his early days playing in different groups, his influences as a musician, who are his favorite drummers both past and present, when it first started writing songs and the different processes that song can be written.
He also talked his abilities with other instruments, her discovery of Sinead O’Connor, the story behind the song “The Long Acher” by In Tua Nua including how he ended singing the vocal for the song, how the band In Tua Nua got together, how In Tua Nua reunited after breaking up in the late 80’s and the high and lows of the band trying to tour.
He also talks about the other bands he was involved in such as the Drays, The Guilty Party, Rocky de Valera and The Gravediggers and the Shane Gang, his own album that he recorded back in 2014 and what plans he has for the future.
