Director of Fingal Film Festival 2015 DAVE BYRNE talks to John Healy about this year’s offerings.

Fingal Film Festival has been committed to supporting the next generation of film makers since 2012, when it introduced the Best Student Award as a new award to join its previous seven awards. The Best Irish Language Film award aims to promote the Irish language through film by offering a platform to encourage and promoting the works of local film makers and emerging filmmakers nationwide to showcase their work in the Irish language with a new approach.

There are now a total of 8 awards:

All of these awards were driven by the submissions in 2015. The aim was to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience.
