RAY YATES, City Arts officer in Temple Bar, joins Noel McGuinness to discuss the upcoming plans for Culture Night 2013, whilst at an event celebrating the work of Seamus Heaney.
Ray speaks of there being over 600 events throughout the country and more than 200 in Dublin. He tells that many places not usually open to the public can be visited on the night itself and tells how the night has a great economical effect on the city centre, bringing people into the coffee shops and restaurants in the proximity.
Ray suggests some of the ways that people can choose their own Culture night and the destinations they might like to choose. They then speak briefly of Seamus Heaney and the impact of his poetry before discussing the beauty of being so exact in his work.
