SIOBHAN O’DONOVAN, organiser of ‘Doggie Do’ talks to Noel McGuinness about the forthcoming event.
The Doggie Do is an upcoming dog festival that will take place this September 12 in Merrion Square and it needs your help.
Inspired by New York’s annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, the festival’s organisers want dog lovers to bring their furry best mates along to this event in hilarious costumes for the dress up parade and compete for the title of ‘Dog of Dublin.’ Don’t worry though, costumes aren’t obligatory.
It’s hoped that the event will bring Dublin’s dog-loving community together while being a fun day out for all the family, with a full day of events programmed, from the educational to the completely ridiculous.
