SUSAN KIRBY, organiser of the Bram Stoker Festival joins John Healy.

Bram Stoker, who wrote Dracula, was born and raised in Dublin. Susan says Dracula story has influenced modern entertainment in many forms. She also talks about the impact of the novel in its own time.

Susan supplies details of the festival, which takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend. There is a major free event running in Dublin Castle and a series of events set in churches and some “seedy” venues will take place all over the city.
