DONNA COONEY Green Party candidate for Dublin Bay North is chatting to Mark Finnegan about 2016 Election. She was a Dublin City Councillor from Jan.’96 to ’99The Sunday business post called Donna a “hard working councillor”. Donna was a Dublin City Councillor in the 90’s and Chair of the Cultural committee. Over the last twenty years, she has campaigned for clean air, water & politics, for proper planning, for protection of amenities & the vulnerable in her community. Her successes include increasing tree planting, getting a blue flag for Dollymount & creating safe routes to local schools. Donna’s priorities include protecting Dublin Bay, our natural resources, community energy, food security, public ownership of water, acting locally and thinking globally. If elected, she will fight for sustainable development, local enterprise and energy efficient warm safe homes for all our citizens, as well as education that is child & student centred. She will also campaign for better public transport, safe walking & cycling routes.
