ELEANOR RENDALL joins Eoin Drinan to explain the idea behind the Vinyl library, based in London. She explains how the idea came about and that they are planning to open on the 1st of July 2013. The shop, which will act as a physical library of Vinyl, is accepting Vinyl from the public, which will remain the property of the owner, which they can take back at any time.

Eleanor speaks of being especially happy with how people have responded to the idea of “donating” Vinyl to the library and how they have been give some fantastic gems. Ellie also explains the business model, how the money earned will pay for the rental of the shop space, but, being a not for profit enterprise they will donate profits to needy causes in the community.

They finish by hoping that the idea is a success and hint that if it goes well a similar store could be opened in Ireland.
