COLM KILGALLON Assistant Director of Adult Learning at All Hallows College is live in the Near FM studios with Noel McGuinness.
All Hallows held an Open Day recently to attract potential students to the Adult Learning BA course at All Hallows.
This course is unique in Ireland. It is based on a US programme that facilitated soldiers returning from Vietnam. many of these men had very specific skills that were not being recognised in the wider community.
This is a BA for adults over 23, with no upper age limit. They can develop independent learning projects in a self-directed learning process. Mentors, teachers, and educational directors all take part in this process. There are 170 students currently doing the programme.
