Pat Meehan talks to PAMELA MEATES about her autistic son, Evan. They discuss how Evan needs additional structure and routine in summer months when he’s not in school. Pamela explains how even small changes to her sons’ day can be very upsetting for Evan and is trying to teach him to adapt to changes in life and be able to cope with changes later in life. They discuss the National Autistic Society of Ireland early bird programme and their learning book for parents. This programme is delivered through local HSE branches.
