John Healy talks to ANNA SMITH from Habitat for Humanity Ireland about about the work being carried out by the charity and the presentation of keys to a renovated house to a local couple.
Lisa Obrien and partner waited to become a Habitat Homeowner for many years and they have been on the waiting list of the City Council for six years. To become such a homeowner you have to fulfill three criteria like being able to pay a small sum to renovate, being on the City Council waiting list and have to have a stable income. As they both fulfilled the criteria they became homeowner around Christmas time 2015.
