Mark speaks to several people live from Multicultural Week at Mercy College, Coolock.

Mark firstly speaks to ROSEMARY LYNCH, principal of Mercy College. She talks about the details and history of the event in the school, how important the event is and why it’s important for everyone to appreciate each other’s culture.

Mark then speaks to CHLOE AUGEST, head girl from the 6th year class of Mercy College and SHANNON FINN, 6th year prefect. They both talk about their own backgrounds, how the majority of people are very open to other cultures, the enjoyment they both got from the week, how the event has changed the environment of the school and why other schools should celebrate other cultures to events similar to Multicultural Week.

Mark then speaks to Prof. DARRAGH KEOGH. He talks about how different the communities are with different cultures over the years and why we can’t take our hostility for granted.

Mark finally speaks to MEG OFFIAH, coordinator for Multicultural Week. She talks about the highlights of the week, how the annual event has grown every year since it started 10 years ago and the hopes of expanding the event further over the next few years.
