Mark Finnegan speaks with JOHN DALY about St Monicas Youth Centre, which is a service for the people of Edenmore and surrounding areas. founded in 1967 to cater for the needs of the children & families in the area.It was founded by local people assisted by volunteers from the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.  St. Monica’s is recognised as one of the biggest and most innovative Youth Clubs in Dublin and caters for more than 200 children with a variety of activities i.e: boxing, basketball, drama and dance, they also have traditional activities such as: table-tennis, pool, snooker, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, bowls, football, day trips and holidays.  JOHN   also speaks about groups on exchange trips to European Countries which return trips to the centre.
