Noel McGuinness speaks to DERMOT HIGGINS, post master in Ballymun post office talks about sustaining post offices.
The government want to encourage people to get their money in the bank instead of the post office. DERMOT talks about the social aspect of using the post office especially for pensioners where they have weekly contact with the people working there & the people they meet while queuing to collect their pension. If they were to go to a bank or a hole in the wall, they would not have the personal touch that they get from their local post office.
