Noel speaks to COLM BRACKEN and PAUL O’TOOLE who were victims of abuse on camping trips in the 70’s and 80’s.

They talk about how proud they feel now after finally getting justice from their experiences, their thoughts about how all these other cases are brought to attention, especially involving the church, their outrage over how some suspects out there blamed the victims and the places in which they endured the abuse.

They also talked about what they believed the suspect was planning, how they had to occupy themselves all the time in order to keep the thoughts away from their systems, what would trigger them to rethink about the experience, what brought them to eventually report it and the trauma they still went through years later.

They also talked about their experiences when they were in court listening to the suspect’s defense, their satisfaction and dissatisfaction they got their suspect’s sentence, how writing and talking has given them a huge lift to help them find themselves and their huge praise for the gardai that helped and supported them through their cases.
