John Healy speaks to GERARD WALSH, an unemployed bricklayer from Balbriggan who has come up with an invention “The Wheelie Bin Clip”.

He tells us how he came up with this idea and how he use to put a brick on the bin to keep the lid down, but noticed one day how it wasn’t really working & came up with this little invention. He has invented four different types of clips because of the difference in bin sizes. GERARD was self employed & since he finished with the bricklaying, he has to come up with some ideas to make money as he doesn’t get social welfare.
