FIONA MOORE from Dublin City Council joins Noel McGuinness to discuss the various events taking place over the Halloween period. Fiona says these organised Halloween events do reduce the impact of illegal gatherings which can be dangerous and cause harm to the local environment.
Fiona talks about people endangering the lives of children and their community by stockpiling waste and allowing young people to use it as fuel for Halloween bonfires. She adds that parents sometimes appear oblivious to the dangers of allowing children to build illegal bonfires.
There will be fireworks displays in Darndale Park, Kilbarrack, Donaghmeade, Edenmore Crescent Park and also in May Park in Donnycarney. For all information check the website www.dublincity.ie
