Open House Festival Dublin 2013: Get To Know Your City

Play

Director of the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) NATHALIE WEADICK speaks to to Eoin Drinan about Open House Dublin, a free event where people can visit historic and interesting buildings that are not usually open to the public.

Nathalie says the purpose of the IAF project is to interest more people in the architecture of their city. Every building has a story, she says, and you can chart the history of a city through its architecture.

This year’s festival features the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield and Donnybrook Bus Garage. Nathalie highlights of some of the workshops taking place over the weekend and how they tie into the overall festival.
