Pat Meehan speaks to MONINNE GRIFFITH of the Marriage Equality organisation about amazing young people with LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) parents and the campaign for marriage equality. They begin with Monnine explaining what is part of the campaign including workshops and working in the community trying to increase awareness of LGBT families in local areas and share their stories.
They discuss some particular situations that have arisen in these families lives as a result of their particular situation, for instance in regards to signing school permission slips and some heartbreaking stories.
In particular they discuss one particular training day that they are providing in the Ombudsmans office in the City Centre. They also share that they will provide expenses and lunch for people taking part in the training day as well as sharing their stories.
