Winter Coats For The Homeless Campaign

Play

SARAH KATE CONWAY and ROSIE OSBOURNE join John Healy in studio to discuss Sarah’s “Winter Coats For The Homeless” initiative.

Sarah tells John where the idea came from and how it developed into a campaign. Rosie talks about the Peter McVerry Trust’s involvement with the campaign and some of the ways in which people can find themselves homeless.

Sarah says any coat will be accepted as well as hats and scarves. They have arranged a collection point at St Joseph’s School in Fairview. Sarah hopes the campaign will grow in future years and her ideas for stimulating this growth.

They also discuss the Edmund Rice Summer Camps based in St Joseph’s CBS over two weeks each summer.
