SINEAD PEMBROKE speaks to Ronnie O’Brien who is seeking interviewees for a  history project based on the Irish Magdalene Laundries.

Sinead speaks a little about the known history of the Laundries and the ladies who became involved with them over the course of their lifetime. She then explains both the purpose of the project and how she plans to carry out a series of interviews.

Sinead also explains that she has first hand experience of a “survivor” of the Magdalene Laundries as her Mother was a resident there.
